Teenage champion offers badminton tuition

Local people have the chance to benefit from badminton coaching under former Chinese teenage world badminton champion Billy Chen at Werrington Sports and Leisure Centre.

The Saturday evening training sessions are priced at £6 per person for two hours, from 6pm to 8pm

Assistant manager Chris Finch said: “Billy is a former professional player and was Asian champion at under-18 level. He is a registered instructor with us already and so this will be a high standard of tuition.

“We want to gauge the level of interest by asking youngsters to call the sports centre on 01733 576606 or pop in to register before finalising dates.”
