Fresh from Athens, British Olympic medal winners will be joining a
host of international sporting celebrities and world-class athletes to
take part in a charity ‘Question of Sport’ event in
Peterborough on 25th November.

Bronze medallists, Stephen Parry
(swimming) and Kelly Sotherton (Heptathon) will join the world’s no. 1
wheelchair single tennis champion and gold medallist Peter Norfolk, to
pit their wits against Colin Jackson, Mark Foster and Sarah Cutteridge.
The well-known football commentator, John ‘Motty’ Motson, is scheduled
to take the role of quiz master. The event will also be putting their
sporting knowledge to the test in a quiz that will follow the BBC’s
‘Question of Sport’ format. The BBC has kindly given the organisers
full permission to use the programme’s format, as well as providing
questions for the quiz.
This high profile event is being
organised by a group of Greater Peterborough businesses and supported
by Lite FM and the Evening Telegraph to raise money for the 100,000
disadvantaged children, young people and families who receive support
from the National children’s charity. The Marriott Hotel (Peterborough
Business Park, Lynchwood) Peterborough PE2 6GB will set the scene for
this fantastic event, with tickets priced at £50 per person.
