The deputy mayor of Peterborough Councillor Gul Nawaz will
officially open the event at 11am.
Many of the leisure attractions that
offer 'partner' benefits to @ctive card holders will participate in
the all-day fun event.
The line-up of activities and
organisations will include: Wicksteed Park’s Wicky Bear; the Bowling
Alley (AMF); salsa dancing; holistic therapies; Gliders; Hamerton
Zoo park; stocks and artefacts from Peterborough Museum; food
tasting from Loch Fyne and Maharanis; trampolines; children’s rides;
Smartie Artie the clown; greyhounds from Peterborough Greyhounds
Stadium; hair dressing demonstrations for men and women; shaving
demonstrations; paintball; sports activities for all by sports
services; recycling activities from the city council’s recycling
team; clay making and painting from Peterborough College of Adult
Education and a disco.

Watson, said: “Joining the city council's @ctive card scheme offers
a fantastic range of benefits.
"Our Central Park fun-day will
provide a full day of activities to show just how many benefits
there are available to @ctive card members."
The cost of joining the @ctive card
scheme varies according to each applicant's employment status. The @ctive
card is open to everyone whether or not they live within
Peterborough City Council's administrative area.
