Another support tour in bigger venues such as Alexandra Palace with
the Kaisers playing to as many as 8000 people a night in the Spring
of 2007 really brought the band to the attention of a lot of people
and when the band released their debut album ‘Wait for me’ (produced
by Peterborough Sound engineer Andy Hawkins) then it received
reviews such as ‘The best 12 pop sings we’ve heard in ages’ from the
NME and ‘This is surely punk pop as God intended it’ 4/5 by Mojo
magazine then it all came to a head for the band.
The album entered the charts at #3 –
not a bad start for a debut album!!
The 2nd single from the album ‘ I’m
not sorry’ became a staple dancefloor filler at Student / indie
clubs across the country and the band played 2 nights at The Town
Hall in their home town of Leeds to over 4000 people and opened up
the mainstage at this years ‘ Radio 1 Big Day Out’ Festival in
Preston.
The band have just announced their
biggest ever UK tour for December and are coming back to
Peterborough to play The Cresset on Sunday 4th November. The concert
is being promoted by The Met Lounge and promises to be a veritable
