Jackson presses ministers on EpiPen provision

News | Community

Further to recent articles in The Evening Telegraph surrounding the issue of the non-admittance of a child to a play group because of the lack of staff training, local MP Stewart Jackson is today pressing Ministers on the provision of EpiPens for staff supervising children with allergies.

Stewart Jackson MP

Stewart has tabled a written Parliamentary question on the matter to the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, The Rt Hon Ed Balls MP.

An answer is expected within a few days.

Stewart commented: “It is crucial that sufficient EpiPens are available in nurseries. Having heard anecdotal evidence, I have some concerns that EpiPen provision is being cut across the nursery and school network. This cannot be allowed to happen and I wait with interest for the Minster’s reply”

Stewart Jackson was elected in May 2005 to represent the Peterborough constituency in the House of Commons. To find out more about him, his views and activities, visit his website at www.stewartjackson.org.uk
