Peterborough Community Website – www.peterborough.net - is most definitely in the news this week.

The website, which has 45,000+ local, national and international visitors each month, has been keeping its audience informed for almost eight years, now has it’s news articles listed by Google News.

The Google News site gathers articles from disparate news outlets worldwide, including Reuters, Bloomberg, the BBC as well as local and regional press.

Jenny Mogford, Peterborough Community Website content editor, explains: “At peterborough.net we’ve always been committed to bringing local news and views to the community. We’ve also listened to feedback about the image of our city that’s generated by many of the more negative news stories that reach national media.

“Although we rarely carry ground-breaking national stories, we hope that we will be able to redress the balance a little with some more positive community-based stories. We hope that in future, anyone using Google News to find out more about Peterborough will get a broader, more upbeat view.”
